I have used laptop accessories in edenvale, service was fast and good, there was no waiting.

I went to collect once and the other they delivered the next day.

As long as it has the correct adaptor pin, why not?
Yip,

if it's MADE for the laptop there's no problem.

The universal one's have voltage switches that you can move ''by accident'' like when you put it in the bag. Then you plug your laptop in & it gets fried :( coz the switch was wrong.

The ones from laptop accessories are not made by the manufacturer but are built with the correct voltage & no switch.

You could just use a glue gun to stick the switch in the correct position. The glue could be removed relatively easily at a later stage if necessary.

Even Incredible Deception actually stock these generic laptop power bricks, as (in our area at least) does HiFi Corp, so you should have no difficulty finding one without having to track down a specialist outlet. Going this route also means you have a future-proof power supply which will run virtually any laptop you choose to buy; they come standard with a wide selection of input plugs to match different notebooks.
