There will be power cuts in Dunnottar this Sunday due to maintenance on the three shaft substations, the Ekurhuleni municipality said on Monday.
Spokesman Zweli Dlamini said the planned power interruption would take place from 7am to 5pm.
"The power supply interruption is due to Eskom's plan to undertake maintenance on Dunnottar's three shaft substation. The company will also be installing and commissioning the new Transformer Breaker and Current Transformers 1, 2 and 3."
The work follows the interruption that occurred on Sunday, September 13, to allow work on the same project.
"All electrical networks and equipment must be regarded as being electrically alive at all times during the period of the maintenance.
"Given the due diligence required by this amount of work, we urge residents to bear with us if the process overlaps beyond the given timeline," Dlamini said.
