I also heard a car crashed into something somewhere. Sounds like the same thing.

Vodacom would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the sale of alcohol to this driver (real or not) and for the fact that he obtained a drivers license. Furthermore we are deeply sorry that a car was manufactured and sold to the individual.

Vodacom is not trying to pass the buck here and will take all steps required to rectify this unfortunate chain of events that caused some of our systems to be down this morning, so as not to happen again. ;)

:D I did not see these reason's in MTN MD Tim Lowry's presentation yesterday, but I am sure it will be forwarded to ICASA for their consideration ;)

Well to be honest, if every reason (like drunk driving) need to be forwarded, it's going to be a hell of a long list.

So, it probably just easier to issue a blanket acceptance of responsibility. :)

Well, it's not so much 'ol Karl's fault as his dad who never let his mother finish a sentence. One evening she wanted to say to her hubby "Take me to the theater" but being the sprightly chap he was, she never got the last 3 words out.

And we ended up with a car named after a girl.
 
I just spoke to Vodacom, and they said that there are now network problems. There are indeed electricity issues in Midrand, but it did not affect the Vodacom network.

'now' or 'no' ?

Definitely affected 4me, etc.

But the 'network' portion was automatically re-routed to the DRP sites, so voice, etc. would not have been affected.
 
Question - does that idiot have to pay for crashing into the box and screwing you over?
