If I admit it's me they might read it and punish us :cautious:

Not lucky though, happens far too little in the awake hours and then normally seems to fit some pattern like an excessive recent schedule weakness.

Yeah in the waking hours it's rare, I mean the earliest one in the waking hours was 4 to 6am for me on the weekend :-). Wish it would've been the evening ones. Though I must say with the lower stages of shedding my electrical usage is dropping again, down to 9 units a day.
 
I see they wasting water with 600MW hydro again:

Station build-up for the last 7 days - Eskom Data Portal

This shows how resources were used to build-up the demand over the past 7 days, and it includes both generation and demand side resources that Eskom has contracts with.

Hourly demand is compared against available capacity, to indicate the amount of surplus/shortfall there was. Available capacity must be matched with the total RSA contracted demand.

Really weird how we went down to stage 3 with figures like that, I mean the Monday was fantastic but the Tuesday we lost 1.6GW
 
Slightly better figures today, but I mean slightly, demand is keeping it at 3GW shortfall

Wonder if I'm right to suspect that the OCGT's usage is very under-exaggerated at the moment. Need those drones...

They were very much in use on Tuesday but only 14 were used at 6pm or so which looks like it's the bigger ones and they only used them from 4 to 9

What I'm not getting is how they're managing on stage 3, would have been impossible a week ago?

I think it's more the party he represents nobody would believe, and he's young. That said, he's largely just a front man

The timing is definitely orchestrated IMO
