Wow, demand really jumped on the morning of Mon 10th when the snow hit Gauteng...

Edit: My cordless telephone started beeping (even with brand new NiMh batteries), not used to sequential Stage 4 and 6 load shedding...

Estimated at around 300MW each so the 4 on the coast + the 2 inland would be 1800MW pushing it to 36GW, though not sure how many we've shutdown though.

Why are you not on prepaid to get away from shittypower's ridiculous R1000 line charges? I'm surprised that 1. they can get away with these charges and 2. that they can get away with only charging post paid customers.

I am, this is just the property value :-) water was R300 more + trash was R100 more. So in total my bill without power was R1300 more for the same water usage. My pre-paid was only 220 units to bring me up to my buffer of 500 units, so 540 bucks instead of 480

You got off light lol, coj bumped property values 2m+ in our area lol, flat out ignored all the bloody objections
 
Eskom has better get its **** together tomorrow, because I have 2x 4 hour slots in the afternoon and evening on Saturday and Sunday
