You know they are scrambling when they don't update their info:
View attachment 1556185Station build-up for the last 7 days - Eskom Data Portal
This shows how resources were used to build-up the demand over the past 7 days, and it includes both generation and demand side resources that Eskom has contracts with.www.eskom.co.za
Demand will only drop when households get their next electricity bill.
Estimated at around 300MW each so the 4 on the coast + the 2 inland would be 1800MW pushing it to 36GW, though not sure how many we've shutdown though.Oil refineries do not use particularly large amounts of electricity.
Got my CoJ bill 900 bucks more for the house aloneDemand will only drop when households get their next electricity bill.
Why are you not on prepaid to get away from shittypower's ridiculous R1000 line charges? I'm surprised that 1. they can get away with these charges and 2. that they can get away with only charging post paid customers.Got my CoJ bill 900 bucks more for the house alone
I am, this is just the property valueWhy are you not on prepaid to get away from shittypower's ridiculous R1000 line charges? I'm surprised that 1. they can get away with these charges and 2. that they can get away with only charging post paid customers.
You got off light lol, coj bumped property values 2m+ in our area lol, flat out ignored all the bloody objectionsI am, this is just the property valuewater was R300 more + trash was R100 more. So in total my bill without power was R1300 more for the same water usage. My pre-paid was only 220 units to bring me up to my buffer of 500 units, so 540 bucks instead of 480
"AAAAAAAAAAA!!! Why are our electricity bill THAT high?"Demand will only drop when households get their next electricity bill.
