But that would mean some of the Muni's are doing their own shed-skipping as well...
o_O
They are entitled too, hence they have their own schedules. The requirements are they must reduce x demand from their contracted amount. How they juggle that is up to the muni's.

Makes some sense, except for 2 things...

1. Eskom stomps on CP's face if they try to implement any of that officially.

2. It's all happening at the same time country wide, then disappears at the same time, etc...

2 could just be a bug in common software used for switching/telemetry.

But the point stands, even chatting to the muni recently they are going to have to start doing the same for water ie: restriction amounts from the provider to the munis, in Durban's case Umngeni Water vs them. They are currently exceeding their contracted amounts but a lot of that is damages and wastage.

Due to no availability of diesel for the generator, we've been running without generator backup.

At least we have sorted out the niggles with the PV system at work.

Holding up nicely.

As long as we do not go beyond stage 4, we should be good.

What does that mean? Jhb run out of diesel?

It's that time of the evening again...the curious case of the not quite 2-hour 10PM slot.

Update: Went off at 10pm as scheduled.
