Ok so basically everytime the minister says it's going to get better, we can sure as **** bet on it that it will get worse in the next 12 hours.

At least we got the inverter hooked up to the genny (at work), and now the inverter can command the genny to start whenever the battery goes below 40%.

Got most of the gremlins sorted out, now diesel use should be lowered drastically.

Until the network bugs or the starter fails hehe

I really wonder what the hell broke for them to up to stage 5 when demand past 2200 is hovering around 20gw total, getting a weeee bit concerned for the morning

The numbers are all a lie. Can’t use them.

Nah, they don't actually need to do stage 5 or any of the very high stages overnight. They just have higher stages so that pump storage reserves can increase overnight and cut diesel usage.

Back to Stage 5 from 10am... They are doing a fantastic job with that extended maintenance

And just as predicted, back to stage 5 at 10am. Lost another 4 units, just as we knew they would.

For my next trick, stage 6 by 4pm...

That wouldn't really be a trick, as it usually goes up by 1 stage at 4 pm and Eskom's announcement says stage 5 until 4 pm which gives a very obvious hint it will go to Stage 6 after 4PM.
