No skipping here either.
I've got a 68 hour break starting early tomorrow morning.

So I see even Minister. Sputla is saying the Kusile plant which returned is currently only producing 550MW (i.e. half a stage worth of LS).
I assume this is normal?

They have to surely monitor it as they ramp it up to make sure it doesn't just pop?

The Eskom boys not irresponsibly Just cranking it full blast from the get-go is honestly what I find more surprising.

Probably cause it's been down so long, they would need to carefully ramp it up.

Where exactly is the problem?

But seriously, I think S4 will become the new peak norm as we edge closer to elections.
Yip, unfortunately it probably means little to no maintenance/repairs until after the election. Which probably means more prolonged loadshedding at higher stages after the election.

Actually currently the maintenance being done is almost double what was being done in winter.

Peak winter it was hovering around 7% of capacity, now it's hovering around 11, so ok not quite double, but 5% more is being done. Even outages has gone down quite a bit surprisingly.

For how long though?
If we can believe the data.

Interesting, hopefully they can keep it up. It's amazing how we can go from stage 6 to stage 0/2, it feels like complete luck at the moment.

Partially is to be fair, just look at the differences week by week in that screen shot
