poweralert stage 2.....

Well, they've confirmed that the brand new mini-sub they put in, blew up.

I've stopped draining my batteries overnight until this **** is sorted. Rather not worry if the weather is going to be good enough for the PV - and making sure the batteries are full by the evening.

They're at 80% now. So I know this evening we should have them at 100%.

I'd be surprised if we have power tonight.
Yeah that is probably the only way :-(

As usual stage 3 isn't needed. But it may change

My brain can't cope with this level of stupid, even stupid people know this whole thing is stupid.

*shuts down*

When even the effects of Dunning-Kruger start to wear thin...

I have 3 sessions tomorrow but at least they're spread throughout the day.

Now they've confirmed the substation is ****ed. A week old and it's ****ed. So it will be a few days before it's resolved if anything like last week is to go by.

Freaking hell

Koeberg has lost 50MW this week, and think it lost another 50MW last week, normal output is 930MW, it's on 840MW now:

Then where is the power? You think they would maybe sync unit 1 to the grid first before spinning down unit 2.
It's synched today, plus they need to bring it down soon, so they have probably been spinning down for safe shutdown.
No jelly fish needed
