Ah freaking hell 12 hours of no power, tickets still sitting in created state... Loooove City power
Keep an eye on it, what usually happens is that they will allocate it to a tech after hours, the tech will get overtime on it and clear it as repaired at night while you sleep, if you don't escalate it within a specified period, the Ref disappears from the system and you will have to start all over again.

They closed the one reference already from last night, still not allocated

I would have thought that it takes less than 2 weeks to shut down the unit. Why they don't use 1.8GW for the 2 weeks while we are in the **** is beyond me.
Why don't they not bring down 6GW for maintenance when we need every GW

Isn't that what they said yesterday?
Yes but it went from stage 5/6 to stage 3/4/6 then now it's stage 2/3 and stage 3 until Sunday morning. So it's changed a bit, no stage 2 though in the mix but at least no stage 4 either. Though I would need power first I guess, at least sun is out.

Amazing how things change so quickly....

I used to believe that Eskom doesn't LS any extra that it needs to, but after this and earlier instances in the year, they've been gaslighting the public and definitely adding on additional stages when the data suggests it was not required.

Definitely, also a lot of the time no shedding was needed from 10pm to 5am or even up till 9am but anyway, Eskom do what they want.
City Power seems to be in the same boat sigh 14 and a half hours now no power.

The rate at which things go from "fine" to "everything is on fire we are ****ed" is staggering

Nah, its more the rate at which things go from "We're pretending its fine" to "Fsckit, we can't even fscking pretend".
