Hope it can handle the inrush of 70 houses.
Everyone had their dbs off and turning on street by street. Also for those interested, frequency is from your local mini sub and Sub station so tracking it for ls won't work.

Where does the mini sub get the frequency from? I thought frequency comes from the power station generators that are all synced together.

unless there are moving parts the Frequency will not be changed by the transformers.
The whole grid needs to be in sync are you wouldn't be able to add power at multiply locations or do smart meter sell back.
local sources my have a very minor effect on local frequency, as in the house local but more of interference than frequency change, motors etc will be pulled in to sync.

When power stations are synced to the gird they are brought to with a close frequency then put online and gird will pull or push it inline, that is also why a poorly performing unit will draw power off the gird to date in step.

Transmission and transformers​

With AC, transformers can be used to step down high transmission voltages to lower customer utilization voltage. The transformer is effectively a voltage conversion device with no moving parts and requiring little maintenance. The use of AC eliminated the need for spinning DC voltage conversion motor-generators that require regular maintenance and monitoring.

Since, for a given power level, the dimensions of a transformer are roughly inversely proportional to frequency, a system with many transformers would be more economical at a higher frequency.

Electric power transmission over long lines favors lower frequencies. The effects of the distributed capacitance and inductance of the line are less at low frequency.
