The reality is that the ANC has had 10 more years to **** things up in jhb compared to Durban.Should go ahead, Durbs already doing it.
Reality of those ideas?

How so? We were getting loadshitting before from stage 4 anyway. And today marks the time that Durbanites rejoin the rest of the country in experiencing proper LS
Agreed. When they using almost all of them it tells me they are desperately trying to keep the illusion going. They would rather bankrupt themselves burning diesel and wash hands with 25 year old whiskey than to raise the stage another level.
It all depends on how much generation they can keep going. We’ve already seen stage 6 with max LC and max turbine use.Agreed.
But the other side of the coin, when they could use more but no longer do? They want us to think it's worse than it is.
S7, maybe S8 may be used as some sort of scare tactic, briefly, but I'm sticking mostly to my S6 max story as well.
Summer is coming...How so? We were getting loadshitting before from stage 4 anyway.
If we can believe what they tell us. I don'tIt all depends on how much generation they can keep going. We’ve already seen stage 6 with max LC and max turbine use.
As soon as generation drops to 23GW and there is a cold snap we will go to stage 8.If we can believe what they tell us. I don't
Amazing how steady the outcome has become, no matter how extreme the reported changes are. One could almost believe they know what they're doing....
Well depends on if you look at it from a Tuesday or date perspective, as the 23rd was a Monday so here is our MondaySo about an extra 2.5GW due to load-shifting. There is no way this increase in power demand is due to a growing economy...

I guess we also have to look at the climatic conditions on the day too.Well depends on if you look at it from a Tuesday or date perspective, as the 23rd was a Monday so here is our Monday

Seems it was actually about the same between last year Monday and this year Monday.
You don't find it suspicious that they've been able to keep repairs fairly steady for many years, that experts say they can not only manage the tech but even improve it, that somehow the sabotage hasn't driven things further yet can't be overcome either??As soon as generation drops to 23GW and there is a cold snap we will go to stage 8.

The reason why it was steady for many years was because there was enough buffer to handle failures so we didn't notice the failures and they didn't make headlines and eskom statements. Now there is no buffer because more stuff is broken, hence the bouncing around of stages as generation and demand goes up and down. You don't find it suspicious that they've been able to keep repairs fairly steady for many years, that experts say they can not only manage the tech but even improve it, that somehow the sabotage hasn't driven things further yet can't be overcome either??
Nah
But anyways..
So about 1GW more from loadshifting? Can expect the 35GW peak to be broken, 36GW, 37GW?JHB 2022

Actually about the same, colder in 2022 in some cases.

So averagely it's been a warmer May then 2022.
Yeah I'd guesstimate that every stage probably adds about 250 to 300MW of load shifting. So about 1GW more from loadshifting?
By recently saying they aren't going to completely work with their Leftists-partners' goals and must save the economy with coal plants, says they had been holding back on repairs. The reason why it was steady for many years was because there was enough buffer to handle failures so we didn't notice the failures and they didn't make headlines and eskom statements. Stage 11 incoming.Yeah I'd guesstimate that every stage probably adds about 250 to 300MW of load shifting.
They don't have the brain capacity to manufacture something.By recently saying they aren't going to completely work with their Leftists-partners' goals and must save the economy with coal plants, says they had been holding back on repairs.
No ways we can guess close to the whole story, but they can't be trusted for sure. As you know many times the reported stats don't add up, and then we get excuses like mist and wet coal.
We could debate all day, I'll remain in the part-manufactured-emergency camp.
They're capable of hiring expert thinkers. And when cooperating with Leftists (not this month) , will get use of their brain power. They don't have the brain capacity to manufacture something.
