Yay our first power outage of the year. 8 hours and counting.

The weather did me no favours, but thankfully there was a bit of afternoon sun, so batteries charged to 70% (13.4 kWh), hopefully enough to last until morning...

Did the power come back? Also why I got a generator, after my lenghty outage couldn't rely on the sun coming out, which it didn't on some of those days.

Yeah, yesterday wasn't too bad but Tuesday was the worst PV production I've had since install (7KWh). Today looking bleak so far too.

Yeah eventually came back in the evening. Would have been screwed with the weather this morning if it didn't. Have no idea where to put a generator if I got one, would have to build an enclosure outside for it...

Yeah weather this morning isn't great at all, mine is actually in the garage, exhaust is redirected outside, through tubing and sticking outside.
Glad you came back on finally.
 
Have to try explain it to their voters, but even they aren't listening much now.

Not ideal Lupus, hope it's wired correctly, with a change over switch and earthed...

House near a mate in Edenvale had the Gennie on a suicide connection in the garage.
There were a few Jerry cans io fuel also nearby.

Anyhoo, all went up in flames, garage (a freestanding building - fortunately) burnt down, his 3 cars also destroyed, believe they were 3 nice vehicles.
Insurance eventually, after months of investigations, told him to get stuffed...

It's how the cookie crumbles sadly :-( we may catch a break like last week, the EAF is up slightly but not nearly enough.
