That is called LC. The harshest they have is stage 4 and we are already there. So I’m not sure how that works then.

Whilst the theory may hold; Eskom won't have a choice if they go over the edge. The other day they used 19 OGCT's + Stage 6 + LC stage 4.

They were literally maxed out on cutting the load - if demand had spiked more; they'd have no choice to go to stage 7, regardless of the diminishing returns.

The problem is, they are creating the load, even city power is now saying keep your inverter unplugged while we try bring up power.

That 8pm to 10pm or midnight slot is the worst IMO

Best one seems to be 8 days later (in Jo'burg) ; 4pm to 6pm or 8pm, followed maybe by one starting at midnight.
