Those numbers are about as accurate as our minister of electricity predicting when load-shedding will end xDIn the green![]()
Wait till the Greenies see thisHonestly screw the greenies - we are not Western Europe where we can afford the luxury of renewable energy.
So are those tweets from EskomThose numbers are about as accurate as our minister of electricity predicting when load-shedding will end xD
Exactly. And we have not had a real country wide cold snap yet...Holy **** look at that demand go.
Monday was coldish - I want to see what happens when it becomes sub zero. Really keen to see how they are going to avoid announcing stage 8.Holy **** look at that demand go. Wonder what the more recent numbers are

With LC stage 1&2&3&4“Stage 6+”
Are you still not concerned about stage 8?“Stage 6+”
With LC stage 1&2&3&4
Well, we know stage 4 LC gives us 500MW. Let’s see what 1&2&3&4 gets.
I think @Lupus's theory does hold and above Stage 6 you don't really gain, you lose out, so probably harsher on industries rather than higher stages. Also, anything higher than 6 would be a new low for voters, I think. Are you still not concerned about stage 8?

That is called LC. The harshest they have is stage 4 and we are already there. So I’m not sure how that works then.I think @Lupus's theory does hold and above Stage 6 you don't really gain, you lose out, so probably harsher on industries rather than higher stages. BookmarkedI'd like to think we won't go past stage 6 (However Eskom spin it)
I'm probably wrong and someone will quote this post the moment Stage 7 is declared and say "Aged like milk"
Whilst the theory may hold; Eskom won't have a choice if they go over the edge. The other day they used 19 OGCT's + Stage 6 + LC stage 4.
They were literally maxed out on cutting the load - if demand had spiked more; they'd have no choice to go to stage 7, regardless of the diminishing returns.
I think it’s because maintenance is being done. Randpark ridge was out of power all day due to maintenance. 8-4pm.
