We regulars have all seen that the numbers don't add up. What if......

/dramatic pause

What if it's to make it look like we are staying on S6 in winter, but actually we're really only on S4 now. Makes political sense and our career criminal leaders wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Just a thought....

Don't quite understand your reasoning here?

Constant stage 6 is political suicide. They'd want to keep the stages as low as possible, at least until next year's elections.

We're talking short to medium term, if they can "maintain" S6 they come out looking like heroes in the longer term - to some anyway.

Perhaps if they maintain stage 6 in order to avoid going above stage 6 that might help.

Don't think they are going to be seen as heroes though either way.

True, but they will be hoping to convince some to still believe in them.


Those who think this is wildly way out there;
We are largely logical and I like to think sensible people on this forum. This ANC as a group are very different, no concern for abuse of equipment or resources, and no interest in those they affect.
 
If they were faking stage 6 I don't think they would be going balls to the wall with OCGT's and pumped storage all day:

Just one question in mind for me - how desperate are they to fool?
 
At the same time, Koeberg down for a further 200 days is very worrying and would make even less sense. Will things collapse after the vote?

The way I understand it Koeberg will be running on one unit for the next 2 years so it will be like it is now.

Very hard to believe that is normal. How many times has there been a problem now..

So unit 1 is down now for upgrade which will come back in aug when unit 2 goes down for upgrade, then when unit 2 comes back unit 1 goes down for something that they can do now. It seems eskom can only do one thing at a time.
 
What ever happened to those mini pebble bed reactors, did they turn out as misleading as was believed when it was in the news?

I saw Elon Boi commenting and that on Bird app about nuclear so he probably stole the idea from Twitter... If SA gets more Nuclear plants i think im outa here even faster... Don't need no FAKE engineer who bought his degree running a nuclear plant... haibo
