No I'm in Pretoria. Only a couple of whatsapp messages saying it was a faulty feeder cable and system overload after they switched cables during load rotation or something like that. And the technicians refused to work at night.

Anyway, power finally restored around 19:30. So more than 26 hours without power plus another 9 hours before that. 35 hours in 2 days. A taste of things to come maybe?

We were scheduled for load shedding as well from 20:00 tonight but luckily that didn't happen.

Who knows with them, but I didn't go off, though I see the street lights finally popped after the 6 to 8pm one, they've been fading on and off since November

Our streetlights popped a few months back when someone stole the neutral cable and we had 400V instead of 230.

The one entire street has been out since November 2021, never been fixed, logged tickets they come and say but this corner is working. Its like muppet there are 4 corners

I'll do one better.
The light outside my place exploded into flames (not even exaggerating) and burnt the light casing.

Plastic smelling bonfire at 11PM was interesting.

It's been a year. Still no fixes.

Hourly demand is compared against available capacity, to indicate the amount of surplus/shortfall there was. Available capacity must be matched with the total RSA contracted demand.
