The funny thing about loadshedding. I have a solar setup. But i make sure my batteries are 100% most of the time now because i dont want to sit in the dark ever.

More loadshedding = more consumption

Yeah same :(

CoCT only on Stage 3 until 10pm on Sat 17th, thereafter Stage 5 due to inspection work at Steenbras:
Nice time to do inspection work, ( even assuming it's absolutely necessary).. So 8 hours of LS tomorrow, think it's a first for CT, although having said that,I must admit I'm thoroughly looking forward to 4 hours of no power from 8pm-midnight tomorrow. Not.

An intoxicated, stumbling drunk could have done a better job than Eskom with the 10s of billions they've p*ssed away over almost 2 decades, with nothing achieved except never-ending misery to people and businesses and the almost total destruction of the economy.

First ever Stage 6 slot for me due to CoCT usually saving consumers from higher stages...but not today unfortunately

Yeah, was just wondering. CoCT has been suspiciously silent so I figure we're getting no respite.

Ah well, put the kettle on before 8 and then back into bed...

Just a friendly reminder from Eskom that the fancy parts of Cape Town are still part of South Africa

Think back to "stage 2" was "bad" and the grid collapse. Nowadays stage 2 is nice to have.
True. We were overjoyed when weekends have stage 2, as the genny consumed less diesel then.

Nowadays it'll be touch and go.

And also lock and load for most of us.
