Ya, wasn't it when CR came out and announced they splitting Eskom up.. and an hour later we went to stage 8 for like a few hours?

Pakistan and India, in fact they were also the first to use load shedding.

No we've never had stage 8, December 2019 we had the first stage 6 for four hours.

What stage 8 load shedding means for South Africa
Eskom on Monday moved to stage 6 load shedding for the first time, sending the the country into panic over exactly what that meant, and igniting fears of a second recession in South Africa.

Yup.. it's like driving a car for 15 years and never servicing it... then taking it to the mechanic and saying, fix it so it runs... the damage done in the years of non-service are going to only get worse as time goes on.
Surely a certain point, there is no point in doing maintenance because the damage caused by the lack thereof is beyond repair?
