Still not too bad since they pay R0,00 for electricity per month. New solar tariffs will keep the free providing engine going for a few more years, depending on how much they are able to fleece from the "haves".

How can the National Treasury, which is one of the better functioning government departments (not a high bar, I know), not do the sums and realise the R19 billion is an absolute pittance compared to the impact of Stage 6 LS on tax revenue? Like how dumb do you have to be?

I do know that the DA did try to cut power of electricity thieves long ago. This was stopped by the ANC, and the DA gave up on that idea and then started to ignore electricity theft.
