That looks like some type of woke conspiracy site.
Click some of the links to outside sources in it then, okes not lekker upstairs, looks a bit bipolar. Says Beyonce's an Italian women who worships Satan, spouts Qanon kak constantly, makes cringe videos about himself as the "boogeyman" whatever that means, sets up and pockets a rhino conservation fund etc, clearly a hack not an "energy industry veteran of 30 years".

Power came back only a half hour late for this latest slot. So, crossing fingers, it looks like we are only going to get those + 2 hours over slots from midnight to 6AM when they won't be too keen to drive around to flip the substation switch.

Forget the source. Take what you see and lookup what you see.

Instead, tell us who the "we" is he speaks for, what restructuring board he currently sits on, what grids he restructured for which countries, what Eskom ever asked him to do (rofl) and wtf he even knows about the matter in the first place.

The guys' an attention seeking loon who ****ed up everything he ever touched, made a fool of himself in the states and now simply latched onto Eskom to satisfy himself.

Good thing too as there's apparently a lot of idiots in SA.

Well, in November Biznews had the following opinion on mr Miller : "It was worth the wait. He was full value – joining the dots in the Eskom mess in a way that makes a lot of sense"

Except what did he connect exactly? His videos are full of nothing except what is already known if you have done any research into the situation, nor do they offer any real solutions. Maybe people think he is the Energy Messiah because he has done that couple of hours of research for them and thrown it into an authoritative video.
I blame the guys at the office for running the aircon.

Now I'm not used to the heat anymore.
This heat is something else. Tho what really gets me are the mozzies. This new generation of mozzies seem invulnerable to all repellant.

Because they aren't using ocgt. You can see on the graphs from the data portal

and asking big customers to reduce power. Maybe big customers have given up and closed shop? (virtual power station)
I believe they compensate customers for that so may have the same issue as using diesel. It's typically around 200MW in any case.

Virtua Power Station is a regulated mechanism in which Eskom can ask certain pre-agreed customers, the alluminium smelters really, to switch off power for about two hours when it has shortages. The customer gets compensated for the loss of production, at a rate approved by Nersa

Now I'm not used to the heat anymore.
People have become so soft, sitting in their airconned offices and homes when it is not even 30 degrees. Now they are learning that they never really needed this expense anyways. I have never felt that I MUST have an aircon, I am used to the heat and just does not bother me much. Winter cold is much more problematic to me than the nice warm summer weather.

Guess this guy who commented is going to be sad for a while...A long while....

Not a single MW added to the grid over the day. Please may we be given a update as to when this hell of stage 6 will end. We as the people of the South Africa cannot be expected to survive without power everyday for 10hrs.
Capacity pretty constant over the last few days. With those load shedding figures we should have been on stage 5 though. The silence is concerning though Screenshot_2023-01-16-08-04-54-367-edit_org.mozilla.firefox.jpg
