We had a scheduled loadshed at 4am, power still not back since then.

My solar and batteries can't come fast enough.

I'm curious about this comment from De Ruyter - it's an oddly specific number...I'm guessing it's referring to planned maintenance rather than new capacity:

Load shedding relief: Outgoing Eskom CEO Andre De Ruyter has hinted that South Africans could see some load shedding relief by the end of March. Speaking to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa), De Ruyter said that 1,862MW will return to the grid by the end of March – roughly equivalent to two stages of load shedding.

probably the units meant for winter coming back online. the relief will be short lived when the winter demand increases.

Not really, it's one plant, the IPP uses gas

Sundays are for refueling the Eskom diesel OCGT's and pumped storage. Would be a hellavu week ahead if they were burning diesel on a Sunday instead of refueling.

They burnt it last week Sunday, sadly we're in the desperation phase :-( also 6 out of 20 OCGTS of Eskoms isn't a lot, that is 900MW
