then the transformers will just blow up and they get no leccy instead of some. Now that de Ruyter has left, consider it a thing of the past. No ways the ANC will allow it in the runup to the 2024 election.
Also it's 1GW-1k MW again?
We were above it for 2 days and last week as well. But it doesn't last longThey can't seem to get above 24k for more than a day at a time.
Yea typo big oofAlso it's 1GW
New financial year kicks in in a few days, so doubt they are saving ****. Guess there is either a generation or logistic supply issue.either run out, or saving it for monday to avoid stage 8.
Well, I'm sure they want to avoid stage 8 at all costs. It was a close call this week with stage 8 levels being called stage 6.New financial year kicks in in a few days, so doubt they are saving ****. Guess there is either a generation or logistic supply issue.
The fact that they aren't even running the IPP OCGT makes me think that stage 6 is what we deal with now. Stage 4 was just a warmup.
Since when did the ANC give 2 fscks about Acts of law, let alone regulations? They are The Great Liberation Party who can do whatever they want.Surely there is some regulation forcing them to declare stages?
Yep, they are also bound in constitution/bill of rights etc to provide cheap reliable electricity... thats just working out great now isn't itSince when did the ANC give 2 fscks about Acts of law, let alone regulations? They are The Great Liberation Party who can do whatever they want.
We had 157 days last year. We're already 34% of the way there and it's not even March yet
Pissing against the windMadness.
Maybe a miracle will happen and winter will be fine, right?!
Sure. Why not.Madness.

The only extra capacity by June is the returning Koeberg unit and Medupi Unit 5. About 1.7GW in total. And that is if everything is completed on time. That's far less than the extra demand in winter.Madness.

They were supposed to bring back 9GW this week, guess that didn't happen, barely seems like they even got the first 3GW de Ruyters said they would. The only extra capacity by June is the returning Koeberg unit and Medupi Unit 5. Yeah what happened to all that capacity that was supposed to return?! Been an entire week of fixing and no real progress. They were supposed to bring back 9GW this week, guess that didn't happen, barely seems like they even got the first 3GW de Ruyters said they would.
FTFYCheapskatesThieves not using diesel despite being given basically an unlimited budget from Treasury for such (as implied by De Ruyter at his press conference).

It does appear that they are loadshedding more than they really need to.
