either run out, or saving it for monday to avoid stage 8.
New financial year kicks in in a few days, so doubt they are saving ****. Guess there is either a generation or logistic supply issue.

The fact that they aren't even running the IPP OCGT makes me think that stage 6 is what we deal with now. Stage 4 was just a warmup.

Well, I'm sure they want to avoid stage 8 at all costs. It was a close call this week with stage 8 levels being called stage 6.

Maybe it should be called stage 6eish.

The only extra capacity by June is the returning Koeberg unit and Medupi Unit 5. About 1.7GW in total. And that is if everything is completed on time. That's far less than the extra demand in winter.
They were supposed to bring back 9GW this week, guess that didn't happen, barely seems like they even got the first 3GW de Ruyters said they would.
And of course no updates for a week just stage 6 until further notice and the ANC doesn't even pretend to care, there should be war rooms, press conferences the main focus should be trying to get out of 6 months of continuous load shedding.
Instead bickering, name calling and them partying, ffs I hope this clearly shows the people how little the ANC cares for them.

Yeah what happened to all that capacity that was supposed to return?! Been an entire week of fixing and no real progress.

How do you divert attention from the Andre issue? Make the current "emergency" look and feel more real. (And later play the hero.)

Cheapskates Thieves not using diesel despite being given basically an unlimited budget from Treasury for such (as implied by De Ruyter at his press conference).
FTFY
Also no mention of any diesel used hmm hiding info from us?

Diesel costs megabucks, better to put it in their pockets.
