Higher stages leading to higher demand again.
I wonder as we continue to go deeper and deeper into stages 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, etc whether the local neighborhood grids be able to handle everyone in the neighborhood running every appliance (geyser, stove/oven, washer/dryer, iron, etc) at exactly the same time.

Impossible, the app only goes to 8.

Our electricity minster is an engineer he won't allow that to happen

With diminishing returns on stage 6 I think they'll start hitting the big users more

Our power went off, Came on again and that was the last of loadsheding. This was a month ago. This scares me.

Why would that scare you?
One of 2 reasons. they stole the infrastructure again or it is broken again and does not switch off. Our switchgear predates the second world war.

You could have load shedding instead? I mean our infrastructure isn't much better

I'm worried about the Broken part. I tried to find out why LS stopped but no one knows.
A lot of people have mentioned long periods of no LS through the years, many got it back again later. Not much sense in any of it.

Well, my business in Kempton Park hadn't had load shedding since Friday the 21st of April. I say 'hadn't', because it just went down. Could be a fault though...

We never had LS. Was only implemented at the end of last year. infrastructure limitations.

We were off for nearly an extra 2 hrs this morning for presumed maintenance, maybe that. But if they're replacing faulty equipment it could be a reset for you there.

Damn you all for having old infrastructure.... :p

Unfortunately, our well-maintained and modern infrastructure here in CT means no exemptions at all!

Someone's daughter probably started dating one of the big wig blessers that work at eskom.

Ours stopped for 8 months. From September to end of March. No one knows why. And then we suddenly started LS again from April after a grid fault brought down a few areas.
