Wasn't it just the reactor being worked on that is down?I thought koeberg was down?
No matter how safe the science, still controlled by rotten politics... enough to make anyone think twice about living in CT.Shut it down before something serious occur?
No idea what is being worked on anymore. Don't think Eskom know either.Wasn't it just the reactor being worked on that is down?

Chernobyl being a prime example - because all safeties was disabled, and politics dictated the procedure instead of science and common sense. No matter how safe the science, still controlled by rotten politics... enough to make anyone think twice about living in CT.
Since 22 June
First time above 30 000MW for a while...

what will happen if the diesel runs out?diesel burning
Well there are a couple of factors, what Sikonathi sends is a snapshot of that time period, generally what seems to be happening is that load is shifting, so instead of it being a bit more evenly spread, the period of the snapshot is higher, as people who were off from 4 to 6 and before are now using that power, where they might've spread it earlier.what will happen if the diesel runs out?
going to be real biggie best fun and games....
That's just another 5GW, and there's 12 generators coming back tomorrow alone..... ?They need to try be above 35000MW and it doesn't look achievable anytime soon.
From the tweet last night and power alert with it saying there is 28GW available and expected forecast is 31GW, we shouldn't be on stage 4.That's just another 5GW, and there's 12 generators coming back tomorrow alone..... ?
A family member runs one of the biggest pvc manufacturing plants and regularly gets calls from Eskom asking them to reduce their usage.
It's a serious knock to their operations shutting down machines. They are going to shut down the plant by the end of this month as the cost to run diesel generators or restarting the production line is too expensive. First time the plant will be shut down for an extended time in over 12 years.
Their monthly electricity bill is R5.5 million excluding vat.
Ive just been to a factory to say hello to a mate...I was chatting with a few staff while waiting for him to finish something...they are loving it that there is not much to do now..Eskom is making life easy for them....A family member runs one of the biggest pvc manufacturing plants and regularly gets calls from Eskom asking them to reduce their usage.
