Well goes hand in hand with a rumour doing rounds that the anti-Zuma crowd are investing and pushing for renewable energy's.

Make sense if you wanna make bucks. Invest in lithium and solar panel plants, stuff up sole energy producer, reap the sweet sweet reward when everyone comes and buy your goods.

A family member runs one of the biggest pvc manufacturing plants and regularly gets calls from Eskom asking them to reduce their usage.

It's a serious knock to their operations shutting down machines. They are going to shut down the plant by the end of this month as the cost to run diesel generators or restarting the production line is too expensive. First time the plant will be shut down for an extended time in over 12 years.

Their monthly electricity bill is R5.5 million excluding vat.

You can't just shut down a PVC moulding machine...

Best to stock up on PVC pipes etc.

So half right? Still not sure why they doing that tomorrow, would be nice if they dropped to stage 2, as stage 3/4 is the same, at least I miss the 10 to midnight shift tonight finally I actually miss something.

Best to stock up on PVC pipes etc.

Any injection moulding plant also has the same problem......the last thing you want is plastic cooling down whilst still in the mould. Big **** up.

Sorry my bad somehow I read vacuum mould, which is something my company does but we heat the sheets in an oven before the mould process

You can't stop and start any industry that relies on constant and reliable heat for production.
