I thought that this was a thread about power alerts. That's why I posted about clear skies vs cloud cover, many solar users on this forum need to be alerted because it will affect their power production.

I agree with you there, Well thats what I generally notice this thread popping up and loadshedding starts a few hours later or an announcement of load reduction for certain places
Load reduction gets done every day, it's got nothing to do with power alert.
No one has that answer.

For solar power users in Johannesburg, a great week of production is forecast, with the only small exceptions being Tuesday and Friday's scattered thunderstorms, we know that they are quick to both come and go. Watch out for Saturday, it could be tricky, but as long as you have enough battery power, on Sunday the sun will bless your panels and batteries again.
Please also include Centurion going forward. We need this as well. Also, this was brilliant

The only reason I fear loadshedding now is the drone of the generators all around me.Every time this thread comes up, I get excited for load shedding and leave disappointed...

Probably diesel, with an underground exhaust. Even the small 5K ones make the windows rattle.
