Luckily there is just enough sun to avoid using batteries that are still 100% charged.

Nah, we’re only scheduled to go off at 4pm.

The city power depo is LS till 14:30. So they say “communications will be disrupted” and the Ward councilor says it’s Eskom side.

Eskom just making up for 3 months of no LS in my area lol

Yeah seems like it, still sucks. I've switched over to solar since about 12pm as the sun's been out and batteries were fully charged so now the solar is just taking load

I love that feeling when the batteries are charged and loads are being powered. Even more so when there's excess solar and you can just plug extra loads in and run it 'for free'!

Don't jinx it. It is just as likely to drop to 24GW overnight and stage 6/8. I think they should keep stage 5 for normal and stop curtailment which is crippling the economy more than the load shedding.

Yes the big industries are closing threre doors for holiday, so we could look at stage 2 maybe

Yeah, it should reduce, however if we see stage 5-8 before the New Year then the country is effed.
