Should have gone off-grid from the start, or off-SA.Its a funny one
People with solar such as myself are used to having zero power cuts.
When loadshedding wasn't around I would happily run solar at day and batteries at night.
Now one has to protect against it and im actually keeping my batteries at 100% which means im using more eskom as opposed to when we didnt have loadshedding
So which SOE`s have gone full private after failing? SAA? Who knows wtf is going in there! Sold it off but tax payers still owe. Eskom will never be privatized. We all know how this story plays out, look at all the other SOE's. We get near blackout, government wastes a few more billion on a last ditch attempt which obviously fails, then its full privatisation time. Its probably better going that route than waiting an unknown amount of time dicking everyone around.
TruthNews Flash: They do what they damn well please now.
Non that I know of but at least the private sector could take the controlling stakeSo which SOE`s have gone full private after failing? SAA? Who knows wtf is going in there! Sold it off but tax payers still owe. Eskom will never be privatized.
ThisWe all know how this story plays out, look at all the other SOE's. We get near blackout, government wastes a few more billion on a last ditch attempt which obviously fails, then its full privatisation time. Its probably better going this route sooner instead of dicking everyone around forever.
And how do they do that? Will never happen. You are on your own, stop thinking something is going to save Eskom.Non that I know of but at least the private sector could take the controlling stake
People seem to be having illusions that the private sector will save Eskom. It won`t, you are on your own. Accept this and prepare. This
As per my South African office, they will look after themselves and NOT YOU.People seem to be having illusions that the private sector will save Eskom. It won`t, you are on your own. Accept this and prepare.
Look at how out of control things are at Eskom. You think our government can contain that beast? Far more likely it gets acquired by other parties. And how do they do that? Will never happen. You are on your own, stop thinking something is going to save Eskom.
Self generation is the way. The only wayIf Poeskom goes private.. the first thing that any private company will do is cut the freeloaders. That means Soweto will be cut. If they do that, civil war will probably break out.
Will never happen, and besides, its a useful political tool to control the comrades.
Yeah, only for those with the cash.. as they do in Zimbabwe, until someone tries to steal your generatorSelf generation is the way. The only way
I mean, that's literally why I'm making plans to leave. What's the point of keeping the lights on, water from your borehole, etc, if the cell towers don't work, the grocery store shelves are empty, etc...Yeah, only for those with the cash.. as they do in Zimbabwe, until someone tries to steal your generator

In January they will announce the start of the NHI, them we will start having health-care shedding.I mean, that's literally why I'm making plans to leave. Self generation is nice, but since not everyone can afford one, everyone will suffer at the end.Self generation is the way. The only way

Generation is starting to look somewhat healthy again

Hopefully, the duct tape holds for a bit this time
