Anybody who opens with or uses a personal attack is not presenting anything you want to waste time with. It signifies a tar-brush report from paid lackies or those defending the indefensible.

It costs eskom a lot to ask businesses to reduce their load. They have to pay salaries and compensate for lost productivity to huge factories and etc. Given their financial status and the fact that they didn't get the increase they asked for I don't think that's an option for them anymore except in real emergency situations.

Or they’ve run out and stage 8 starts after the pumped storage runs out on day 2.
 
Looks like its going be tough one, probably just get through burning some diesel.

It ends when you make your own power. Just like how you have to pay for private schools, hospitals and security...

Doubt that. Nersa says that eskom must not use diesel for base load, essentially only emergencies and peak loads.

Nee fok. I hope this "good news" doesn't result in my brother changing his mind about solar. He goes from saying yes to no depending on load shedding levels and if he doesn't actually stick his guns this time about getting solar I'm going to move out and buy my own place.
