For me, it's down to the positioning of my panels - winter means the sun is lower and hits the panels directly on, so peak generation is better. Also north facing roof helps.
For me winter is the exception. Make a plan and pay if have to, as long as the lights stay on. Makes more sense to plan for the other 9 months to get better utility out of the system...

Agreed. But I get more than enough generation all year round. Summer peak is around 3800w and winter is 4300w. Most days is above 20kWh of generation all year round. Except for the cloudy abs rainy days of course.

A lot of them are controlled by fear. But even that is changing now, so agree, let's hope..

The other day, I thought about it, we had Mbeki and the arms deal, instead of using our power to vote for change, we said, nah we need more of this, so we got Zuma with the Guptas.

Along with Zuma and co we got rampant corruption, and again we said, nah we need more of this, here is a new dawn.

I do hope next year, people finally wake up and understand the consequences of voting. The voting populace does have a choice and say, but they don't use it and instead just accept it as fate.
You know the scary thing is in a lot of the townships their only vote is ANC (some areas EFF)... We were speaking to a few domestic workers and the one was very clued up and she said to us "if i don't vote ANC the people around me will kill me, so i rather choose not to vote"... She could tell us more about politics and all that than we even knew...

The hatered and everything from the past is so fixated on them that they don't see the present and how horrible things have come... They will rather sit in their shack, unemployed, starving with no power than vote for someone else...

It's very scary when you dive into things and another sad reality is a LOT of people are leaving the country and all of them are the educated ones who generally vote for the "better" parties...

The problem is, they just won't vote if they aren't voting ANC. So, even if the ANC does not """win""", whatever party is elected, will end up being elected with probably less than 20% (30% last elections iirc) of the vote, which is a recipe for a ****ing disaster anyway.

The sad part of this is that the middle and wealthy became self sufficient or left. The prime demographic of ANC voters probably sit in the dark every night.
It is awesome that ANC voters now sit in the dark, well deserved:

"An hour of free electricity a day is better than a full days` paid electricity." - Old ANC voter proverb. Keep pumping those social grants and the ANC will never loose majority.

Still better than pure anc, a coalition can only be an improvement.

Yep, a well-known condition. Mostly it's said the village etc. chiefs are bought and force the way of the vote.

But something's changing, anc "popularity" is still at an all time low.
