On this topic , my brother stays about 200-300 metres away from me. I have a cambium unit and I think he has one of the airmax lite beam units. Can these be setup for us to share as well? Or would we have to get matching devices?

You can elevate the LiteBeam with Cambium software which will allow the two devices to link (Cambium as the access point/litebeam as station)
