I live in a townhouse complex and my wifi router is in my study adjacent to the lounge. I can pick up the signal quite well with my iPad but would like to use on of the smart tv's and live stream web content.
What about power line wifi adaptors to boost signal? Better if its not necessary. Btw my adsl is 2 Mbps.
Running a cable should be better but I'm too old to get into the attic.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

Why not just buy a repeater, those powerline adapters are kuk, and if I'm not mistaken they can't be used on 3-Phase systems, laying a cable would be the best bet, but a wifi repeater is a close second. I don't use them though as I wired up my place
Maby another forumite can show you the best direction to take regarding repeaters

The work well most times faster than wifi. Dont plug in Cell Phone chargers near them though. Causes all kinds of crap. PS Vita charger worst offender.

See above thread for more opinions. They work great for me. Almost 100mbps without the hassle of laying cables.
