Praise for ADSL!

Now don't all jump up and down! I've been the first one to throw stones at ADSL, but ten minutes ago (10am) I downloaded portions of the WinXP SP1a (interesting MS suffix) - 49 megs - and it took about 14 minutes. Now I know that that's not really lightning, but it sure is fast.
Geez I'm lucky...

i dont have adsl so i am no expert, just my first thought.

If you used Windosw Update it comes from a local cache.

That is the one benefit of ADSL that keeps me subscribed.
I frequently have to update PC's via windows update.

ADSL is not <b>all</b> bad...if there was no limit I would be satisfied with my setup. Currently I browse during office hours, play CS local server till late and allow Kazaa to dl till morning.

Just when the limit kicks in then Kazaa and international browsing is not a viable option any longer and thats my main gripe. My modem/connection has been stable so far (touch wood) and my speeds have been reasonable as long as I take into account the time and popularity of the site I am trying to access.
