Pre-built systems

PC arrived today. Just finished setting it up. Could create a local user during the startup process.

Not the greatest fan of the case, but it's not terrible. One of the intake fans seems to have a slight wobble and is quite noisy which is annoying. Anything I can do? Will it settle down after a while? I really don't want to return the entire thing due to a fan.

I also miscalculated since I thought my primary monitor had an HDMI connector, but it doesn't. And of course I don't have any displayport cables. Any suggestions which one to get?

What is the case? You could just buy fans and replace them?

It seems to be a PC Builder branded case itself. Manual says PC Builder Protector Micro ATX Gaming Chassis.
Hmm ok so not a normal OEM. Can you take off the front grill and try tighten the screws of the fan to see if that helps. It might have shifted lose while shipping.
How was it packed?

There was some of the expanding foam inside which had to be removed. Everything seemed secure. It's not the fan housing itself that wobbles, but rather the blades. It's as if the sticker on it could be unbalancing it.

You can only notice the "wobble" in comparison to the other two front fans. (If that makes sense).

I'm not sure if the front grill of the case can come of. Documentation is pretty sparse.

Might be able to post some pics late this afternoon after work.

Yeah grill comes off. How else are you expected to clean and maintain it?

Just pop it off and replace the faulty fan.

Do you have experience with this specific chassis?

This is the chassis they used https://www.syntech.co.za/product/pcbuilder-protector-micro-atx-gaming-chassis-550w-psu/

The user manual doesn't actually show how to remove the front mesh panel section. I see a plastic clip, but not sure if there are any screws to be removed too.

Any recommendations for a good, quiet fan to replace it with?

I've reached out to their support email, so will see what they say.

You don't need a manual to tell you how to take a grill off a PC chassis buddy fronts pop off tops are magnetic and lifts off just hold the thing top front insert two fingers at the bottom and pop the thing off.

Let's just say I'm not skilled in the DIY department. At all.

Don't worry about it.

PC chassis front grills are made easily removable so that you can regularly clean the grill and fans.

Looking at this one you can pop it off anywhere you can get you finger in but the larger outcuts at the bottom are cut larger for exactly this reason.

Don't be afraid to apply some pressure.
