yes, still waiting!
And please, rollover too. Currently using a competitors pre-paid bundle offering, but having to swop 5 or something simcards per month to get 50 MB of data for R50 is not on. I am NOT paying for 100 MB if I only need 50 MB.

Data Bundles are imminent, but then I've said that many times before. :o

I would however keep some budget in your next pay cheque if you intend to buy a pre-paid data bundle.

Are they going to be that expensive? :p

Hi Vodacom3g

Can you give us any indication on the format of the vouchers? I.e. will I use some of my currrent (already paid for) airtime to buy a bundle? Or will I need to buy a seperate voucher?

This would help me plan my next purchase. I don't want to go and buy my next R275 worth of airtime just to find out 2 days later I need to buy R275 worth of data on top of that.

Anyways, this is long overdue. I am getting my 6680 probably this week and am very keen to start playing around!

By the way, any clues (just a small hint) pertaining to roll over? ;)

This will definetly be interesting ..... I know so many people on the forum bitching about 3g but one of my buddies uses his 3g to play "DOTA" a warcraft mod on the local server with hardly any lag wat so ever. This will help him significantly as he is on a Top Up contract

I know a lot of people that use GPRS for E-mail and chatting etc, its really low bandwidth usage and they simply use prepaid sims with old phones.

Data Bundles will be welcomed by these users. Ofcourse considering that they might only use 20-30 megs a month rollover will be essential for uptake. These users might be happy with 50MB bundles at a decent rate as long as they can carry it over.

Nope, just that soon :) (fingers crossed)
So whats news on this front? My next paycheck has come and is fading fast ;)

I know....

As posted on the forum the pre-paid data bundles were supposed to launch on the weekend but something, somewhere obviously did not come together.

Still waiting for exact feedback. Will revert.

Will the pre-paid data bundles be available to contract holders as well. I would like to buy a pre paid bundle and just get refused access once it is finished as it removes the tedious task of checking if you still have megs left and getting surprises at month end if you do not check your my meg balances

Re pre-paid data bundles available to contract holders..

I suppose even if pre-paid data bundles are not available to contract holders, it shouldn't make a big difference .. just buy a second pre-paid sim card and use it. (?)

I think that will more than likely be your only option.
The contract billing backend does not support that sort of thing. Thats why the TopUp contracts are built on a Pay-as-you-Go billing backend to support the limit system that is imposed on your account.

Ooooohh  - lookit all these new bundles added to the services option on the vodacom4me website:

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg 150 Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg 20 Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg 250 Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg 500 Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg 75 Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg Five Gig Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg One Gig Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg Ten Gig Bundle

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg Three Gig Bundl

Adhoc GPRS MyMeg Two Gig Bundle

No prices yet though!

Now in my book, adhoc means you can use it whenever you want (like over 3 months)?!?! :D

Where exactly?
There are about 4 different options that have the word "services" in them - and i don't see the bundles on any of them :(

Hi ADSL3G I went to the services link and I don't see them?
Can you be more specific or have they been removed since you looked?
Thanks

Once logged on go to 'my account' > services > modify services.
adsl3g - are you on contract or pre-paid... cause i don't see that option when i login...

I assume you did click on the modify services tab. I just had a look again and they are further down the page - but as I said, there are no prices up yet.
