Hi there, I know this is a bit off topic, but I just wanna let you know that I sorted out my vm internet. I heard that I can force my vm sim, to use mtn network, and it worked!!! I just selected mtn in my network connections on my phone, and I'm up and running. Just a pitty that not even vm or cell c knew it.

IMPOSSIBLE! Virgin does not have roaming agreements with MTN. You should double check your connection.

I agree...tested it, Vodacom/Cellc accepts while Locking Onto them but Mtn returns a 'Not Allowed' error.

MTN gives me a no access message. Are you sure you didn't select Vodacom by accident? Was going to suggest that, but since my GPRS/EDGE speeds on Vodacom are so crappy I thought why even bother. You still won't get 3G/HSDPA access though.

What if voda allowed the free vlive internet to continue to see how it would be used and thus detirmine a decent fixed monthly access rate for us??

Yea, sad to say, but the best mobile operator in the country spends too much time and money on sponsorships and too little on improving their service and prices... just imagine how low prices could be if they did not sponsor all those sports teams

yes i totally agree y sponser a stupid soccer team i mean come on thats there job they must find there own funds for plane tickets etc and if they say its advertising y dont they just advertise more on tv etc the service from voda is really getting pathetic as it seems i have more knowledge about a problem than most of the consultants the thing i like about virgin is that they dont send u around like a stupid parcell its like voda play pass the parcell and take for ever to give u an answer and when they do its a stupid answer to and one i usually have already tried and damn when do u ever recieve this sms or call from the technicians i was supposed to get one like two days ago i guess they slacking or falling behind they are slowly loosing there um how can i say edge to be the best and stay there.

Who cares about all the sports? We want decent services at decent prices. Vodacom should learn that customers should come first. Advertising yourselves with sponsorships won't help if you lose most of your existing customers.

People rather listen to others who speak bout the service they get, than react to the stupid ads placed on tv... And since the meerkat came into the picture, voda ads went down the drain. Speak bout a voda ad, and most ppl remember yebo gogo!

Getting back to the point, sponsorship means nothing to the end user. Except that we have to pay more for worse services

On the subject of sponsorships and advertising and a bit off topic. Since IBurst is now advertising on tv and sponsoring Survivor SA I think they can now reduce their prices again for their users... unless they are just like Vodacom. It doesn't help to advertise if most people can still not afford it.

@VODACOM3G i think u better pass the news on to the advertising team that we dont want a stupid dancing cat on an advert we want better prices. oh did u guys read about vodacom and false advertiseing lol they got takin to court because they advertise phones at a certain cost and actually charge more for it and voda used to say "the cheapest call rates in south africa" cell c put them to a challenge and voda lost and had to take that out of there ad's they charge 90c a min cheapest and cell c is 75c on friends and family so voda should get there act together bring out ppdb' bring down call costs bring down sms costs and start trying to get back in the lead even cellc is taking over
