Pre Paid Data Bundles [PPDBs]

Should this thread be closed (locked)?

I've tried all 4 options (that i know of) to purchase a data bundle
1. *111# just gives me a error message saying please try again later
2. vodacom4me website doesnt give me the option to purchase a bundle under the services menu
3. sending an "MyMeg 500" sms to 100 has no effect
4. calling 155 and talking to an operator also did no good

Can anyone help???

Trawsaj, on vodacom4me you must go to My Account and then data bundles.

Login Vodacom4me - point on My account - then click on data bundles
 
ajax, when i go to My Account there is no data bundle option

That is weird. I just checked my prepaid sim number. I definitely have the purchase option and I get a response from sending the sms when I try to buy a bundle.

I'm taking a flyer here, but is your prepaid sim maybe with a different service provider company such as Autopage or Nashua, i.e. not with Vodacom Service Provider company?
 
I took out my contract directly from Vodashop. Guess i'll have to go back to them and have them sort it out.

On contract you have to go to services, Modify services. There you will see e.g. MyMeg 500 Monthly bolton or MyMeg 500 Adhoc and a whole lot others. THen you tick the box next to the bundle you want and hit update. Apparently you have to wait up to 24 hours then :(

Agree with Khodi, nothing hurts to run down to Checkers and get another sim for R2.
 
Thanks for the help guys. Under Modify Services there are no MyMeg or Data bundle options. I'll pop-in to the Vodashop after work and see if they can help me.

How long ago did you get the R999 price?

It was August last year. I took out three contracts, two at 899 and the one I kept for myself 999. The difference between the two was the handset. On the cheaper it was Motorola and on 999 a Nokia 1101. Vodacom SP took over the contracts in Nov 2006.

Spoke to another person at VC yesterday and he informed me that i can only buy a PPDB from the 6th of April...
 
Well I have been unable to purchase a bundle (in every single way). So yesterday after work i went to Vodashop and they told me that although it's being advertised already, it will only be available on the 6th.
 
Are you not allowed to purchase a bundle with the included airtime on a Top Up contract?

I was able to purchase a 500MB databundle on my topup 135 contract by sending a SMS to 100 containing the text 'mymeg 500'

On Vodaom4me I still do not have the option to load bundles, and using 111 I cannot buy bundles.

The only way to check my bundle usage is to use the 111 function, and this is working giving me my balance on the bundle. Vodacom4me is not giving me my databundle info.
