premium combo can't get IP

I have Telkom premium combo. the Lan can works.but the wireless can't work. I set as follow:
authentication= shared...encryption=wep64...wap enable=ture...auto channel=false....current country=GB....default channel=7.....default tx key=1.....essid=marconi....profile=mixed_G_WIFI......transmit=automatic I can find the marconi in my computer and can connet. but I can't get the IP from the router. I disable the DHCP server ,and set the IP in my computer. but It still can't work. It display I802_1x:00:09:45:6B:7c:8d associated
who can tell me why I cann't get the IP and why it does work when I set IP myself

it can like to be a encryption problematic type issue . you choice either can be disable encryption otherwise you can be to set up the encryption correctly.

Enable DHCP.

Use WPA Preshared Key Encryption with a TKIP key that is at least 8 characters long, for instance: 13579246
Do not hide your ESSID

Apply settings, manually add the Wireless network to other pc or device and make sure the settings are the same

I am using XP there is no WPA

You enter the WPA setting in the router itself, after that you enter it in XP. The option is available in XP, I just don't have an XP machine here to tell you where it is.

yip. xp does support WPA encryption. does the router ?

have you tried without encryption as a test to see if you can get an ip from the router ?
