Premium Combo

I am having problems with this modem. The internet dropped 10 - 20 times every day.
If I look under the Premium Combo's status it says PPPoE Connection : cable Disconnected. the I have to wait 10 - 20 minutes before a connection is established.
Why have the modem a firewall - I have to disable it every time the cable is connected otherwise I cannot get to my trading website.
Please help this is going on since I got ADSL with the premium combo 4 weeks now. Telkom says this and that - monitoring but no feedback.:mad:

Is that the new Marconni modem Telkom is selling? Because I worked on a new Marconni on Friday and I totally hate it. It's difficult to setup as the menu layout was most probably designed by either a brilliant rocket scientist or a mumbling bafoon.

Yes that is it I think this is the worst modem I have ever seen. In the last 3 and a half hours I have been disconnected five time By the modem.
 
Also got one of the new so called "Premium" Combo routers. and I'm also seeing my connection dropping constantly throughout the day making online gaming all but impossible.:rolleyes:

Also the interface sucks and is designed to keep the user as uninformed as possible, I can't find my SNR or any other connection quality details anywhere:mad:
 
yep I guess the Wifi with a 20cm Range is what makes it "Premium", or maybe it's the premium you pay on your telkom account for the contract.
 
hmmm...?

I have one of these routers nd I dono how to turn off the fire wall
