SuckerWe tried all four PRIME drink flavours Checkers sells
Checkers launched the PRIME “hydration drink” line of beverages to much fanfare on Monday, with each 500ml bottle selling for R39.99.
PRIME grabbed headlines in mid-April when well-known broadcasters Leanne Manas and Anele Mdoda posted on Twitter about kids pestering their parents about it, and its high domestic price.
It do mean it is very average. What do it mean, aggressively average?
Quite a few people are referring to it as an energy drink, it has the lowest listed kj value I have ever seen, only 84kjDid you read the article?
Yes, they don't own Prime; it is alleged that they own a non-controlling 20% stake in PRIME, but this is vague. It could be that they do earn, "up to 20%", as per another condition per their agreement with PRIME/Congo Brands. We won't know, contracts like these are non-disclosed.
At-least Redbull and Energade tastes better than this PRIME crap. Gordon Ramsay had tasted one PRIME drink and said "its like drinking perfume".I tried 3 of the 4 flavors today.
It was like highly concentrated sweeto pop.
Really disgusting.
Even if they were the same price as energade, I'd rather drink energade.
Laughs in European... 4 euro... that's a hazelnut latte in Western Europe.Up here in Gauteng, boozy cocktails cost R80.
Wait, that's so thin, it's checkers Greek yogurt repackaged.I still think Calpis is the coolest one.
