Primedia launches "Lead SA" campaign

"WOW! that knife just missed your heart! thats good news"
"Atleast you survived being raped, thats got to be good news"

C'mon. We do get reall good news every now and then. Like the 3 cable thieves that caught a bit of mob justice in Lenasia.

Is that good news? I dont see how the lynching of three people is good news. It might be JUSTICE, but its not good news. your views are most probably completely different to mine. To me, good news is 'Community build a centre for the Aged from donations' or 'School-kids clean cars to raise money for their school athletics team' - but alas, that kind of soppy news is on page 30 in really small print as its not the kind that sell papers.

Anything that orients us towards doing good and building the country has my support. Less Poor People = Less Crime and other Social Ills.

My only worry is whether the campaign will only reach the already converted and completely miss the unconverted i.e. is it running in the townships where it will can potentially make a meaningful impact or will it only reach the middle and upper classes (i.e. Primedias target market).

haha... just had someone on my Facebook tell me that the logo looks too much like the AWB flag! :D

HTF is randomly killing suspected criminals in the street either good news OR justice? Seriously?

A new initiative was launched on Wednesday morning calling on South Africans to respect the country’s laws and lead by example.

Start by expecting the same from our government, then I'll follow.

Oh, we do expect the same from our government. We just don't get it.

You don't seem to get it either. If you're waiting for the ANC to start behaving itself you'll be waiting for a very long time, bru! :)

Sorry - you are right. It was only partially good news, 3 others got away.

Another failed campaign... I see the typical idiots are still re-living the "glory" days of Mandela... how so many murders/year could be considered a "success" boggles the mind :erm:. Why don't these people put more effort into something more useful like opposing draconian legislation etc - this all sounds to "happy-clappy" for me.

And the website mentioned in the article: www.leadsa.co.za (with a video)

wishy washy campaign for the middle class masses.

No. None of these campaigns ever do this.
