Do you think we've accurately pointed out the futility and down-right stupidity of these name-changes yet? Something is always too European, too Western, to non-African, anti-revolutionary, anti-transformation or some new utterly ludicrious agenda that the ANC has concocted to maintain its illusion of some sort of struggle all while eating European, Western and non-African foods, driving in European, Western and non-African cars and using Euoropean, Western and non-African healthcare and technologies.

When, in the name of all the sanity that remains in this country, will they (and by they I mean those on the extremes of the spectrum) get over themselves and realise that TOGETHER we have a helluva lot more than we had when we were APART :mad:

Celebrate unity through unity, not through redesigning history to suit your preferences.

I think that this pretending that we don't owe global society for the knowledge, insight, experiences, technology and philosophies we have might be harder than we thought.

I nominate (for srs this tym :p) that the prisons keep their names and that those resources instead be directed to bettering prison facilities and solving that "overcrowding" problem we keep hearing about.
 
The affected facilities include Pollsmoor and Goodwood Prisons in the Western Cape and in Gauteng Johannesburg, Pretoria Central and Leeuwkop will be renamed.

Seeing as I have never been incarcerated, I am not exactly au fait with all the prisons, but is Leeuwkop prison not the one that is nicknamed "Sun City" ? So just make it official then.
 
The minister insisted their current names were not inspiring to inmates and staff.

How can a name change be inspiring for a prison?
I'm sure the staff don't like some things about working in a prison (salary/working hours/management) but a name change will not change that.

I hope I'm missing out something important about this endeavor.:erm:

Johannesburg Central is the one aka'd sun city. And no, I ain't been incarcerated either:p
 
oh boy now the tourist might think they are Holiday Resorts are they also gonna get star ratings like hotels do?
 
Perfect example of the incompetence in the ANC to properly prioritise real issues in this country - like we DON'T have REAL problems.
