Problem connecting to ISP

Please could someone offer some advice: I have a Telkom ADSL line (384kbps) and have three different Afrihost ADSL accounts. I can connect without any problem to all these accounts, as well as to "Guest at Telkom". I have a Netgear DGN2000 ADSL wireless router/modem.

I have recently bough a new laptop at Incredible Connection and have received their free 65GB ADSL voucher. They have set up an account for me ([email protected]) but I cannot connect to this account! We have been struggling for 10 days, and the account has been re-created a number of times. What we have now established is that a friend of mine can connect to my Incredible Connect ([email protected]) account, from his house, using his ADSL line an his Netgear router. But I still can't.

We have checked every single setting, have restarted the router, have reset the router, but nothing seems to work. It stumps me that my Incredible Connect accounts seems to be working (for other people), my own Netgear router and ADSL line is definitely working (for my Afrihost and Telkom Guest accounts) but I cannot connect to this Incredible Connect account!

Does anyone have any ideas regarding this / suggestion for me to look at or try? All help and advice greatly appreciated.

I have tried logging in from my W7 laptop, but that is not working. It says "trying to connect through WAN miniport" then says "connection error 651".

I popped out and got an Axxess voucher from Engen, entered the details, and connected immediately!

So Telkom works, Afrihost works, Axxess works but Incredible Connect does not work!?

Any more advice?
 
I also have one of the Incredible Connect ADSL account. They lock it to you ADSL line. So you cannot use it with another line.
I think they lock it to the line that you used to activate the Incredible Connect account.
 
I here what you say, but I don't think that is the problem here: I CANNOT access it from my own ADSL line (the telephone number used for activation) but a friend of mine CAN connect to my account from his ADSL line! Will keep looking for an answer...
 
Have you tried phoning the support number that is on the Incredible Connection voucher.
 
Yes, thanks - I have now had about 9 conversations totalling over 4 hours with the Incredible help desk. They have checked all my router settings, have had me factory-reset my router, test-connect to telkom and have re-created my account at least twice - all very helpful - but nothing has resolved this problem. And my Axxess voucher details, provided by Engen, resulted in me connecting in about 3 seconds! So it seems I have, on the one hand, a working ADSL line, router and computer, and, on the other hand, a working Incredible Connect ADSL Account. I just cannot connect to my account!
