Did you get an error message or does it appear to hang or what actually happens?

You can also call 155 to buy an Ad-Hoc CDB.

Also, for anyone that doesn't already know:
[thread=95379]AD-Hoc bundle expiry date change...[/thread]

I prefer to buy my ad hoc bundles via 155.

But, I am rather miffed at Vodacom! On 1 November, I bought a 2gig ad hoc bundle (I am on a contract, btw) which lasted until the 24th. I was very careful not to exceed the 2gig and go into OOB territory ... checked my balance regularly ... and on that day I purchased another 500mb to see me through to the end of the month.

Now I notice that VC has charged me approximately R80 for "data usage" on the 24th!! How do I prove them wrong? They have me by the short and curlies!!

BTW, V3G has confirmed to me that ad hoc (contract) data bundles now only expire after 30 days instead of the end of the month. Good news, indeed!:)

I still cannot purchase adhoc DB on v4me - does not give me this option. Before I was able to purchase DB's under the modify services tab. Does anybody else have this problem:(

Log a query with 155 or using the Query tab in your account Tab.

erm .... tried using vodacom4me to buy an ad-hoc package ... but cant find the place to do it ... am I stupid or what????
i don't even see something remotely like ad-hoc under the Update services tab .....
then tried doing it via my SP, NashuaMobile .... but it's been 2 days now, and i still don't have it available ..... is this normal????

The problem is that you are with NashuaMobile and not VSP, which is why the v4me option is not available to you.

ah, so you telling me when my contract with Nashua expires, i should cancel it ... as their Ad hock package is double the price from Vodacom????? thought it would be the same....

erm .... maybe i'm understanding the pricing from vodacom wrong, but according to what i see on vodacom's web site : My GIG Two bolt on (i suppose about the same price as ad hoc) R389. NashuaMobile's price : R988 or something like that .
if that is true, it might be cheaper getting a prepad data bundle, or am i completely wrong somewhere.

anycase. .. today i'm going to sit in the local branch of Nashuamobile, UNTIL i have my ad hoc package :(

Dude :|

IMO being a VSP customer has a lot of advantages.

I am a VSP customer and the ability to configure services has been removed - I have the same screen on vodacom4me now as an independent ISP subscriber has i.e. not able to purchase bundles etc.

Not sure why you're being discriminated against? :)

Have you logged a call with 155?

Not yet I just thought it was one of the problems that would sort itself out but I see on my other account I still have the ability to configure services.

The account in question has two lines on it and I can't configure services on either - are there still migrations happening for the "managed user" facility whereby only the primary user can modify services? I will wait a while longer to see if it resolves before logging a query as I don't really configure that much online anymore - to many problems experienced in the past.

vodacom queries

so i logged into vodacom4me and got presented with a new micky mouse interface. really guys what the hell happened to the normal interface i asked myself.... - the new interface lacked all the services of the old one - shocker!.

this was through the opera browser, re-opened vodacom4me through internet explorer and will wonders never cease everything back to normal (thank goodness).

x-cept i notice under "free services"
it says mymeg500 this month only (adhoc)

so am i getting a free 500mb if i click on update? that would be super awesome if thats the case.

also thank goodness i'm with VSP. otherwise is that the interface you supposedly get now? + telling people to dial a numer to re-charge is a bloody joke when they could do it before on the web. what kind of a company degrades their service profile? :P ( I cant phone through a 3g data card by the way! and dont even tell me to put it in a cellphone, why should the customer have to jump through hoops to recharge)

anyhoo half rant/ half praise over.

-thanks, jon out.
