Problem: Remaining Data on Expired Pre-Paid Data Bundle preventing new PPDB Purchase

I always try to download with the last few Mb until I get the message that costs are being charged to your airtime... You'd be amazed at some of the useless junk I've downloaded!!

Remember that although you may have unused data, unless you have about R2 of credit on your Pre-Pay account, you can't access the network!

Your airtime does not expire unless you do not use the network for more than 90 days, so why should data bundles expire?

I got a message that my bundle expired this morning but I only had 200Kb left!!

In your case may be its an extension to account for the network outages?? Did you log a call??

**Unable To Recharge Pay-As-You**

Greetings,

On Saturday 24th November 2007, our Vodacom 3G Pay-As-You-Go data bundle ran out. After purchasing R189.00 => 500Mb it has proven impossible to recharge.

The Vodacom helpdesk drones claim that it is a technical issue which can only be solved during business hours.

The problem is that no one ever returns calls or is able to solve the issue.

"Why don't you go & buy another SIM card and airtime" is the latest piece of advice...Because we've already paid for the current one to be topped up, but due to your inability to provide technical support we can't use what we have paid for.

Does anyone have a non-drone contact number of someone who is able to provide techical support & a solution on this issue.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Nicholas

Stuck in a loop. The problem is that there is 1Kb of the previous data bundle available which cannot be used & due to this the new data bundle cannot be activated...

That's odd. This was a problem that cropped up a month or three ago. The fix was to allow you to purchase a new bundle if your balance was less than 500KB (for some reason they were not able to just clear the remaining balance). You seem to have got stuck in the old situation. Did you phone 155, the dedicated data helpdesk?

I can't give you any help, but I'm sure the vodacom3g (forum representative) will be online after he escapes from the drinks following the mybroadband conference...

My prepaid data bundle expiry date was the 21st, but when I try to purchase another I am told that there still is an active date bundle (all data on previous one not used). I have also been able to connect and use the service as usual.

Have noticed quite a few new data bundles that can be bought on Vodacom prepaid.

This wouldn't happen to be a review of the data bundles and rollover introduction? Or am I overly optimistic :-).
Cheers
Pagel
You're going to need to call 155 to get that sorted out, it is not DBR, it is a known problem that Vodacom has been trying to fix.

<added>@v3g, I would like to unstick this thread, any news?</added>
