[Problem Resolved] Looking for Keoma?

LordMerlin: I do not think you gave them a fair chance. I am also not a big Windoze fan, but that is not a reason to bash OpenWeb.

I have been with OpenWeb (as well as some other ISP's) for quite a few month's now and so far i am very pleased with their service.

MrBEEP always helped me faster than was expected.

Big thumbs up to OpenWeb !

As for dabounceer, and the other kids on this forum, please stay out of something you have no idea off. I work for my money, and pay for what I need. If something doesn't work, I try and get through to the right people to help me. Sometimes it's not easy getting to them, and one has to resort to alternative means. As it is, I already tried contacting him via his own forum, and he's not answering, thus I tried this one, which has a lot more traffic on, and maybe he, or someone who knows him would see this post.
You seriously want to call other people kids after a ridiculous affair like this?!

Come on dude. There is a reason that u are meeting with so much opposition.

LordMerlin, you must be one useless linux "fundi" if you cant get a simple windows program to work! I wish we had to attach our personal details to our myadsl accounts cause id track you down and put your head through the wall...

Ever heard of freedom of speech people?
Just because you don't like/agree/understand what someone says it's no excuse to start attacking them personally.

I don't see anyone here defending other ISP's with such passion!

Excellent work MrBeep.
Not so fast on the offensive LordMerlin.

The rest of you, grow up!

They did not report me to Hellopeter, which by the way, has dented our reputation a great deal. Maybe this was your intention, if so, congratulations.

While this might be true, judging from the support of your clients on this forum you have enhanced your reputation here. Most people will not be put off by a single complaint on hellopeter, and it will pass from view very quickly.

Just a pity that a little tantrum can cause such an unjustified fuss.

I think it was really unfair of you to contact Hellopeter.com if this was your intention. You reported OpenWeb at 13:34:24 Mon 26 Jun 06 on HelloPeter and "tried to contact Keoma" at 26-06-2006, 01:35 PM on these forums with your original post.

That does not seem like someone looking for help.

Just my 2c worth

Cheers

Abe

For your info, this is something that has been a problem for over a month.

To set things right, Keoma did manage to get my problem sorted out, and it's running fine now. I can now use a normal proxy setup, via firefox - on my Linux box. openrouter doesn't work that well for me, thought it does for many - in fact for everybody else.

my intention is not to hurt anyone's business, and by looking @ this forum, my intentions only improved Openweb's name. And as with any business, one has to accept some bad critisim as well, how else will you know if something wrong? Anyway, I appologize for the inconvenience and problems I / this thread have caused. This particular thread was never meant to bad moth Keoma, but mearly to get hold of him.

Sig_ZA, why didn't I defend myself? This is not a battle, nor do I want it to be. Good point though, on the fact that no one else bother fighting for another ISP, yet a strange phenomena. I probably would vouch too for any good ISP, or anyone else offering me good services. If however, someone has a problem with their products / services, and the issue is not being resolved, then it's surely that client's right to make a fuss about it. When was the last time you experienced bad service from say telkom?.....
