[Problem Resolved] Looking for Keoma?

Hi all

This is now my last resort. Unfortunattely my email doesn't work so I can't email Keoma @ Openweb. It's too expensive for me to phone a 031 number from JHB - which is what I'm being told when I phone the 076 support number. Support can't give me my openrouter account details, only Keoma can. BUT I can't reach him. I was hoping, before I'm being stoned to death, and since I went and spend R1300 on Windows XP, that I could somehow get openrouter to work. After all, I'm being told it only works with Windows.

So, can someone please help me out? Apparently he's not allowed to phone me back, and I can't afford to call Durban from JHB. So, what todo, what todo.....?
 
setup a free email account somewhere and email him?? Honestly... u on the net but u cant email.. u spend R1.3k on windows but u cant phone durban?

Also mayb u can follow up on this

Now then, isn't that funny? I can't, since the verification email will be sent to my unreachable email address...... For those sites that I can actually access. Hotmail, gmail & yahoo doesn't load @ this stage
 
woohoo, I signed up for a free webmail account. Now I just need to sit back and wait for all these sales reps, marketers and surveyers to annoy me all day long with their specials and crap I don't want.

Seems like it's a never-ending story in this country. If you want something, it will cost you, and it will cost you a LOT.
 
Doesnt Openweb offer free web mail ? you shouldnt have much trouble accessing their site without openrouter.

I dont see anywhere where u hav to enter in a cellphone number/existing email/postal/pyhiscal address on the webmail reg process. So unless u actually want to use the webmail account for anything other then getting hold of Keoma or you are afraid they are going to track u down google-earth style and spam u thru subliminals messages im sure u have nothing to worry about

It didn't accept the signup unless I put in my existing email address..... Anyway, I signed up for an account on openwebmail

.... I woke up this morning, saying to myself. "Who's life can I ruin today" Sofar it's been a very very successfull day. Probably the best yet. The waitress @ the takeways is crying, my bank manager is pulling his hair out... need I say more? I was wondering why no one ever comes and visits me, thanx for pointing that out to me.

This is not the place to "discuss" your personal problems with OpenWeb.

GET OFF OF YOUR "EXPENSIVE" PHONE (3G) that you "can't afford", and PHONE OPENWEB's offices !!!!!

Thanx for trying Turbo......

I had to get windows just to use it. So, after purchasing windows ( I don't like being a criminal, like halve the people in this country) I had to obtain openrouter.

As it is, I paid for the ADSL account, and was / in entitled to use it right? Problem is, I couldn't get hold of the right person to help me with it. Openweb's support could not help me, only Keoma could, who I can't get hold of via the phone. Nor could I email him.

But, someone helpfull suggested to get an openwebmail email account ( which doesn't seem to need all your personal, insurance, medical, BEE and so more info just to get an email address) I have gotten hold of Keoma, and will try and see how openrouter works.

As for dabounceer, and the other kids on this forum, please stay out of something you have no idea off. I work for my money, and pay for what I need. If something doesn't work, I try and get through to the right people to help me. Sometimes it's not easy getting to them, and one has to resort to alternative means. As it is, I already tried contacting him via his own forum, and he's not answering, thus I tried this one, which has a lot more traffic on, and maybe he, or someone who knows him would see this post.

P.S. I get it a lot, especially since I don't use Windows - we're quite often considered outcast, and outdated. It hurt. To think that the only software that's acceptable by every body is Windows. The moment you mention Linux, you get " uhhh....." People don't / can't help you and you're being pushed aside....
 
I think it is time I respond to the bashing OpenWeb's reputation received today.

Firstly, for future reference, I am reachable by the the following means:

1. Email: [email protected]
2. MSN Messenger: [email protected]
3. MyADSL Forum: Username: MrBEEP
4. OpenWeb Forum: Username: MrBEEP
5. OpenWeb support line: 076 512 56 59 (If not available there, please try any of the above.

Secondly, OpenRouter is a Windows Application. It works on most versions of Windows, and it works well. If your copy doesn't work well, there is a setting on your PC that needs tweaking. I will be more than happy to help you tweak it, if given the opportunity.

20% of my OpenWebbers are Linux users, so LordMerlin, please do not feel alone. For those users, I have created an alternative, because they asked.

They did not report me to Hellopeter, which by the way, has dented our reputation a great deal. Maybe this was your intention, if so, congratulations. You have won.
