Problem Uploading Images With WordPress Site

I have a WordPress site using the Hueman theme. I used to always upload images using the theme's default file upload plugin. But since last night, from nowhere, everytime I upload an image I get an error saying "HTTP error." My file upload permissions are set to enable uploading to the uploads folder. What is causing this problem and what is a fix?

Once debugging turned on the logs might give you some more useful info on the error.

Tried this now. No help. Doesn't seem to log this error.
