I have a really odd problem, and there seems to be NO help anywhere on the Internet about it.
The laptop runs Vista SP1, and the My Documents folder is redirected to a network location. Now everytime I try to save, edit, create, rename or delete a file/folder, I get this disturbing error:
An unexpected error is preventing the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might me useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem.
Error 0x8007054E: Unable to complete the requested operation because of either a catastrophic media failure or a data structure corruption on the disk.
This also happens when I try to make a folder's files available offline. So something tells me it's a problem with the Sync Center? When I reset the folder redirection to the default (c:\users\.....), and access the network share via the "\\server\share\..." method, I can work perfectly. Perhaps anyone has seen this before or can shed some light on the situation?
