I have a really odd problem, and there seems to be NO help anywhere on the Internet about it.  The laptop runs Vista SP1, and the My Documents folder is redirected to a network location. Now everytime I try to save, edit, create, rename or delete a file/folder, I get this disturbing error:

An unexpected error is preventing the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might me useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem.

Error 0x8007054E: Unable to complete the requested operation because of either a catastrophic media failure or a data structure corruption on the disk.

This also happens when I try to make a folder's files available offline. So something tells me it's a problem with the Sync Center? When I reset the folder redirection to the default (c:\users\.....), and access the network share via the "\\server\share\..." method, I can work perfectly. Perhaps anyone has seen this before or can shed some light on the situation?

do you actually have write access to the share?

Full control. This only happens on this laptop, from another PC it works fine. So the problem's got to lie with the laptop. I can create e New Folder, but when I try to delete or rename it, that error pops up again.
